At Crispus Attucks Children's Center, we nurture and care for each child individually, helping them grow up strong and smart. Every day, our trained teachers guide children through a range of multi-sensory activities that help them learn, share, and most of all enjoy their childhood. From babies as young as one month to boisterous pre-schoolers up to age six, Crispus Attucks Children's Center is there to guide your child through all stages of their development. Find out more about the diverse, caring, and enriching experience we can provide for your child.
Our motto is "WORK HARD TO GET SMART." We believe in the Efficacy Theory of development that promotes the notion that confidence leads to the effective effort, which leads to enhanced development. Everyone can learn because intelligence is not fixed at birth, but instead is something that can be developed. Smart is not something you are, smart is something that you get! A guiding principle is "Work Hard to Get Smart," which is our school's motto. We use this with the children to motivate them to work hard and apply themselves in the classroom, and to remind them that everyone can learn and be successful
Families come first at Crispus Attucks Children's Center, and our staff is happy to work with you to make sure we are meeting your needs. Another advantage of CACC is our experienced staff: most of our headteachers have been with the Center between five and 20 years.
Crispus Attucks Children's Center is named after patriot and former slave Crispus Attucks, the first American killed in the Boston Massacre in 1770. Located in the heart of Boston's Roxbury and North Dorchester neighborhoods on a 90,000 square foot campus, CACC is one of the largest providers of infant and toddler care in Boston. The Center is licensed by the Massachusetts Office of Child Care Services and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). If they apply themselves. One of our objectives with each student is to teach them the joy of knowledge, and instill in them how to learn in the classroom. These skills will help them remain engaged and prosper in their future academic careers and social development.
The CACC program has a strong base in the academic curriculum, but we also recognize that future success means supporting not only the child but also the child’s family and the entire community.
